High notes: Thousand Foot Krutch, Love & Death, The Letter Black, The Wedding, Hydra Melody

Christian rock does not necessarily equal mellow rock. Bands on this War of Change tour bill will prove it. Ontario, Canada-bred Thousand Foot Krutch has taken its metal and rap/metal straight to its Christian base and to secular listeners and won fans in both. TFK is touring with its latest album, ?The End is Where We Begin.? It's likely TFK listened to some Korn. It's fitting, then, that Korn co-founder, the band's former guitarist, Brian ?Head? Welch, is leading his crew, Love & Death, over the rock hurdles at Josabi's. Love & Death will feature music from its debut album ?Between Here & Lost.?

Jim Beal Jr.

Doors open at 6 p.m. at Josabi's, 17200 Texas 16 N., Helotes. The Letter Black, The Wedding, Hydra Melody open, $20 frontgatetickets.com, $25 gate, all ages ($5 surcharge for minors).
