The 2013 Submarine Cable Map depicts 232 communications cables that traverse the world?s ocean floors, as well as 12 additional cables that will be in service by 2014. The map also includes a timeline, network latency constellations, and other infographics. Inspired by antique maps and star charts, the cable map was created by TeleGeography, a telecommunications market research and consulting firm. The map is available for purchase.
